Thomas Gherardi, special counsel and executive television producer, is a distinguished media and legal adviser, brand development strategist, and creator of Emmy-winning international television specials and gala performing arts events.

He has been Senior Vice President of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and U.S. public television representative to the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).


He has counseled and licensed famous brands, represented investors seeking tourism business opportunities abroad, and created successful matches between and among corporations, performers, and performance venues worldwide, including American Airlines, ITT,Air France, Metropolitan Life, Exxon, Martin Marietta, the BBC Shakespeare Series, Pioneer (Japan), Kirov Ballet, McLaughlin Group, Dizzy Gillespie, Barney the Dinosaur, Tony Bennett, Wolf Trap, and scores of others.

He has served as Executive Producer, Wolf Trap Television, creating, financing, producing, and licensing twenty-six hours of major concert events and television specials for US and worldwide distribution, starring scores of internationally renowned musicians and performers including Dizzy Gillespie, Victor Borge and Tony Bennet. In 1989, for the President’s Commission on the French Bicentennial, he created and produced America Salutes the French Bicentennial –the first “official” television “birthday card” from one nation to another.
